The origin of Jääde water
114,000 BCE: The start of Finland's Ice Age
Massive glaciers covered much of Northern Europe, including Finland.
10,000 BCE: The Salpausselkä Ridge was formED
As these glaciers slowly retreated, they left behind a legacy etched in stone – the Salpausselkä Ridge.
Naturally Filtered
Characterised by porous sand and gravel deposits, this geological feature naturally filters melted snow and rainwater.
As the water passes through these sediment layers, it undergoes natural purification, becoming enriched with minerals and gaining purity.
Pure and fresh
The water accumulates over time in aquifers, where it is protected from pollution by the layers of earth above it.
Bottled at source
Bottled just 1.2km away from the water source.

Our Origins
Finland
Often referred to as the “Land of a Thousand Lakes,”
is a Nordic country situated in Northern Europe.
It boasts stunning natural landscapes, including dense forests and pristine lakes. According to a UNESCO study, Finland has the best ground water in the world, offering a truly sustainable source for
clean water.
From the Salpausselkä ridges
Jääde’s water is sourced from the natural glacial aquifer that sits deep beneath Finland’s majestic Salpausselkä Ridge, located in the city of Lahti, the Green Capital of Europe 2021.
It is filtered naturally by the ridges of Salpausselkä.
It does not require any form of purification and is
fully natural.
About Jääde
Pronounced as ‘Yah-dey,’ Jääde beautifully blends the Finnish words ‘jää’ (ice) and ‘lähde’ (spring), reflecting the purity of its water source from an Ice Age-formed ridge.
Jääde captures the purity and harmony of Nordic nature in every drop. Our tagline, “Taste the Joy of Nordic Nature,” invites you to experience the pristine essence of Nordic landscapes, bringing joy and vitality with each sip.
