About 10,000 years ago, at the end of the last Ice Age, glaciers covered Northern Europe, including Finland. As they retreated, they left behind the Salpausselkä Ridge, a geological feature with porous sand and gravel that naturally filters and purifies melted snow and rainwater. This water accumulates in aquifers and becomes the source of Jääde.
Our water has a balanced pH of 7, giving it an extremely fresh and smooth, crisp and clean taste. As it is close to human body’s pH, it is ideal for providing optimal hydration.
The hardness of water is measured by total dissolved solids (TDS). The lower the TDS, the softer the water. Jaade’s TDS of 107mg/L indicates good-quality water, categorized as soft water. It is smooth and pleasant, making it enjoyable for drinking.
The nitrate level of water indicates potential contamination. The WHO recognizes drinking water with a nitrate level of up to 50 mg/L as safe. With a low nitrate level of 1 mg/L, Jääde is regarded as superior by international standards.
Since 2023, Jääde has been dedicated to creating a world that promotes hydration, wellness and sustainability for future generations.
As a young company, we have a unique opportunity to lead by example. The progress we have achieved with our initial products in the market is evidence of our commitment to sustainability. From sourcing to packaging, sustainability lies at the heart of everything we do at Jääde.
